"Elixir Of Life" is the fifth episode of the fifth season of the AMC series Hell on Wheels.
Synopsis[]
Chang and Bohannon arrive in Truckee with more Chinese workers and items for a festival. Bohannon informs Chang that Tao is taking over the payroll. In Laramie, Louise Ellison enlists Eva's help with her abortion. Margaret Palmer arrives, furious with Durant for proclaiming Laramie, rather than Cheyenne, to be the new railroad hub. Durant promises to revert his decision. In Truckee, Cullen investigates the Swede's receiving rifles in rice crates. Meanwhile, Tao is shot and killed by a white salesman.
